Nigeria will stay united - Saraki
THE Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki, disclosed on Tuesday that in spite of the current challenges facing the country it would remain one indivisible nation.

He believed that with the support of every Nigerian, “the future of the country is very bright” insisting that we would get there one day.
Speaking during a motion on the 55th independence anniversary celebration sponsored by the Senate Leader, Senator Ali Ndume but read by the Deputy Senate Leader, Senator Bala Na’Alah, entitled Congratulations to Nigeria and Nigerians on her 55th Independence Anniversary”, Saraki stated that “challenges of today is temporary.”
According to him “l  thank you for your robust debates, it is clear that Nigeria shall remain one indivisible country. We have made a lot of progress and we must build on our resources for sustainable development. All agencies of government must work for the development of the country. I believe the future is bright and I believe with corporation , we will get there.”
Presenting the motion, Na’Alah noted that on Thursday, October 1, 2015, Nigeria will mark her 55th Independence Anniversary, having attained independence from Britain on October 1, 1960.
Senator Sanni Shehu said “the leaders of today must look back and ask what have we done to the families of those who fought for the independence?”
The Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu, stated that “as we celebrate the 55th independence, we must not overlook the challenges the country is facing currently,” mentioning the insurgency, unemployment and kidnapping among others.
